It's an urban fantasy story about Mercy Thompson, female mechanic n shape shifter. The characters have a lot of depth and the story line is great. If you love werewolves, vampires, witches and other creatures. This is an awesome series. Mercy is a strong female lead. She's a fighter for justice and protector. She stands up for what she believes. REVIEW BY: Crystal Wilson
I sub-titled Murder In Absentia as “a story of Togas, Daggers, and Magic”, as it draws elements of ancient Rome, Fantasy and Mystery. It’s also a bit shorter than “an historically-themed urban high-fantasy noir detective mystery (with a splash of horror)”. If you like any two out of the three (Rome, Fantasy, and Mystery), give Murder In Absentia a shot. REVIEW BY: The Author Assaph Mehr

When caregiver Julianna Margate takes a job looking after the aging widow of the county’s most prominent businessman, she never expects to come face to face with a creature so ancient, its long-forgotten origins are recorded in the Bible. Tension seethes between Lavinia Harrow and her manservant and there’s something more than just bricks and mortar comprising the house that sits above a vast underground labyrinth of mining tunnels.
