In the year 669, Orcus lost control of the school after a huge battle on school grounds between warring demons from different regions. Lorde' Desdemona approached Orcus about her taking over running the school. He reluctantly handed over reigns after one of the warring demons nearly sent him to his final end. Principal Lorde' Desdemona quickly took control and built areas on school campus where different demons could come together and not clash in common areas. She then hired demons to teach courses that are relatable to all students.
The timeline of Earth is something that not many mortals can agree on. Demons know no sense of time as mortals conceive it. After more fights and attempts to join sides than any mortal could try to understand, in the year 600 Demons once again were starting to work together. The Demon Orcus first approached the other Demons about starting a place of learning to connect all Demons. He wanted a place were Demons could come together to learn about their history along with adapting to the flourishing mortal world around them.
In the year 666, Orcus accepted his first group of Demons into Blood Moon University. The location was selected due to how accessible it was to a large body of water that was connected to the ocean. The Lake it was built next to is now know as Lake Pontchartrain. The school was built between the lake and another moving body of water that is modern day known as the Mississippi River. Both water sources lead into a huge gulf of water that years later would be known at the Gulf of Mexico. Friday 4/13/0666 - Today is the first day that students are allowed to enter into the school. It's a perfect evening for classes to start. Students are already arriving and the first class doesn't start until just after sunset at 6pm. The location for the school couldn't be better. The local mortal tribes are completely unaware of the school and fear this area already. The land the school was built on already held energy that had built up over the centuries. Only Demons are welcomed into the school. Vampires were notified of the school opening. Mainly the announcement to them was more of a taunt that anything else. It took a long hard fight to get Demons to band together and work as a team. The building structure itself was hand built by a variety of Demons. Not known to mortals is that Demons come in all shapes and sizes much like mortals themselves. The main difference between Demons and mortals is that Demons were not born, but simply become what they are. Some Demons walked the Earth from the creation of time itself, other Demons are the creation of negative energy that collects in one spot. The school was founded to help Demons better understand what they are and how to use their skills and talents. Founded by one of the original Demons, Orcus, Blood Moon University is the first time Demons gathered their knowledge and skills together in one place. Among the first courses offered at the school include: History of the Purging of Hell, Gaining Self Control, Control over Mortals. More courses are in the works but right now there are just enough Demons for the course being offered.
