Cryptic University

In the year 999, Vampires started their own school. The idea for Cryptic University came to the Countess of Darkness Madame Bruno in the year 780 after she saw how well the Demons had established their own school, Blood Moon University. Madame Bruno called a meeting of the most powerful in the Vampire World at that time and explained her plan for a school to rival the Demons. After much debate to determine if Vampires could work together and what would be the point of having a school, it was determined to allow Madame Bruno the means in which to create her university. Originating from France, Madame Bruno decided to build her school at the foot of what modern day France ​calls the Morvan. The school is nestled in an area below the highest peak of the mountain, Haut-Folin, which is 901 meters. 
​The official opening of the school was conducted in the year 999. Newly created vampires flocked to the school to learn about the vampire culture, how to live unnoticed by mortals, along with gaining an education on other immortal beings. There was not a set number of years that vampires were required to attend or even a limit to how many years a vampire was allowed to remain in the school as a student. May of the original vampires who attended the school ended up becoming part of the faculty.
